UnionPay Merchant Services International Holdings Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “UMS Intl.”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary, set up in Hong Kong in July 2016 by China UnionPay Merchant Services Co., Ltd (UMS). This subsidiary acts as the platform for foreign investment, merger, acquisition, and business operations of UMS business. 

As an investment platform for the overseas business of UMS, UMS Intl. invests or acquires foreign companies, enlarges global acceptance of UnionPay cards, and develops overseas payment businesses. UMS has the intention of acquiring promising companies or projects in the target markets of East Asia, Southeast Asia, the United States, as well as Europe. UMS Intl. will act as the investment platform, launching the corresponding investment structure for the acquisition when the share and amount are determined.
